Audi is a brand that prides itself on innovation. Audi Ireland wanted to create a customer experience in their physical showrooms that reflected their passion for innovation and technology.

The Solution

vStream designed and built the world’s first interactive vehicle AR experience. The project was launched in conjunction with the launch of the new Audi A7 Sportback. We created a holographic, interactive tour of the vehicle through the use of Microsoft HoloLens glasses. The experience is broken into three modules; Exterior Design, Interior and Technology. As part of the experience, Simone, a holographic character, acts as a guide to the bespoke holographic graphics, 3D sound and video files to tell the Audi technology story.

Following overwhelmingly positive reactions; vStream’s Audi AR Experience has been adapted to include the new Audi A6, Q8 and e-Tron models and has been translated into several languages for international use. In 2019, it was nominated for “Best use of Technology/Innovation/AI” for the Irish Smart Marketing Awards.
