Project Details
vStream were the first company to use broadband infrastructure to create a global broadcast. vStream worked with IDL over 5 years to develop and deliver the Jameson Global Party music event. The production evolved from our live stream of music acts from Dublin for the Jameson 360 Party.
The Execution
The following year, vStream embarked on a complex live multi-country broadcast with hosts located in Johannesberg, Bulgaria, Dublin, Czech Republic and Dubai. This involved live handovers between MC’s in different countries to introduce international acts such as Groove Armada, Razorlight and Kodaline.
Viewers around the world could connect with hosts, interact with content on Facebook and Twitter and affect in real time what they were seeing. vStream identified and managed all crews in local markets, working centrally from Dublin under an overall broadcast director.
Success
vStream success in developing the software to allow uninterrupted streaming , taking into account dropped frames, lag and infrastructure variances is now generally recognised as evolving online broadcasting techniques.
