Global, award-winning, creative experiential technology agency vStream has today announced two key appointments, Bernie Cullinan and Professor Aidan O’Driscoll, to its advisory board with immediate effect. Bernie Cullinan is a creative and energetic leader who has been involved in technology and creative industries for a number of years in both executive and non-executive director roles. Bernie is CEO of Pragma Advisory, a practice providing strategic planning and people management solutions to companies nationally and internationally. Bernie was previously CEO of Clarigen, providing software and service based HR solutions for companies in the small and medium enterprise sector across Europe and Africa.
Prior to Clarigen, Bernie was CEO of SteelTrace, an Irish software company sold to Compuware Corporation and COO of Performix Technologies, acquired by NICE Systems in 2006. Bernie has previously held a number of senior roles within the Virgin Group in London and Sydney.
Bernie is Chairman of Crest Solutions Ltd., an Irish Group providing compliance control solutions to the pharmaceutical and medical device sectors, Chairman of Shinawil Limited, one of Ireland’s largest TV and Film producers and Benefacts, a not for profit organisation.
Bernie is Deputy Chairman of Science Foundation Ireland and is also on the Board of the DCU Educational Trust. Bernie has a BComm and an MBA from University College Dublin and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.
Aidan O’Driscoll is an emeritus professor of marketing at the Dublin Institute of Technology. As well as pursuing his academic research interests in consumer behaviour and sustainability, he is a consultant to a number of firms in the energy, technology, and media sectors.
He is a co-founder of the Business, Society and Sustainability research centre in DIT’s college of business, and was managing director of Mercury Publications, a publisher of marketing journals and books, for over 20 years.
Aidan received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the UK Academy of Marketing in 2015, and the A.C. Cunningham award for distinguished service to marketing education earlier. He was awarded the 2018 Shelby D. Hunt award from the International Macromarketing Society. He is currently an adjunct professor at Maynooth University where he teaches strategic management.
